Default Dilemma - please help

I've got an EL Kuunavang Potion for my 6th Birthday.
I have 30 HoM Points so I only lack the titles
I have been hacked not too long ago and besides the potion my whole money is about 45 platin
I adore Kuunavang and being able to transform into it is just way too awesome

Shall I sell it or keep it - please help!

Sell it, use the cash and buy it back for way less in a few months/a year

Hmm but how sure is it that the price will drop to something I can afford when I spent all the money I'll get from selling it?

It is most likely that the tonic prices where the highest when they came out. It is uncertain how much they will cost later or how much the price difference will be.

It kinda depends what you do with the money in the mean time. If you spend it all, then no, you wont be able to buy it back.

It also depends on how many HoM points you want and what the 30 points you've already got consist of. If you want all the points you'll need obsidian and vabbian armor, which is probably 200e all up, which in itself probably means the tonic won't come down enough for you to afford later.

It's elementary dear Watson, the longer you wait the more characters will pass the 6 year mark. And more tonics and less novelty equals cheaper value.

Hmm yeah but I don't really care for the rest of the HoM points, I mean titles don't interest me that much.
I have all I really wanted, but still, I'm not sure :/

keep it!

Kuuna is awesome and it gives you joy

If you want the rest of the HoM, work for it. you will aprreciate it all the more than people who simply bought theirs.

I agree with Aeronwen. Keep it. If you already have pretty much everything else you want, there's no reason to be tempted by having a pile of ecto that you won't enjoy looking at as much as you enjoy using the tonic. If you do decide to go for 50/50, then whatever you get for the tonic you love will just be a drop in the bucket on the overall cost of getting those points, so it isn't worth giving up something you enjoy for such a relatively-small advantage.

if i was you i would trade the el kunna for an el destroyer... they just look cooler imo.

But yea either keep it/trade it for a different el tonic you may want more. I wouldnt really sell it because seeing those piles of ecto wont really be that fun(trust me been there).

thats just my 2 cents(and anything after 30 is just titles for the next game, whihc arent a big deal)

The price of the EL 6th birthday tonics will only drop as time goes by, as more become available in the game, so I would recommend selling yours now while the price is high, and then buying a replacement EL kuunavang later on when the prices have dropped.

It seems very simple to me. If you care about the tonic, and you don't particularly care about the extra gw2 titles, then keep the tonic! Remember: you are playing a game. If something in the game makes you happy, go for it!

A similar thing happened to me a while back. I managed, through an amazingly lucky coincidence, to buy a mini polar bear for 70 plat. I could have sold it and made several stacks of ecto, but you know what? I realized, if I had that money, the thing I would most want to do with it is... buy myself a polar bear mini. Because I love the damn thing so much.

If the Kuunavang tonic makes you happier than the gw2 titles would (I know that would CERTAINLY be the case for me, since once you have all the items, I find that enough), then forget the economic part of it and enjoy your tonic.

Remember, there is no guarantee of getting it back. Enjoy the thing that makes you happiest in this game, and keep the tonic.

EDIT: Also, keep in mind, if you sell it and buy it back in a year for a "profit", then you won't be able to use the tonic during this year. Is that worth it? Also, it's likely that gw2 will come out sometime in the next year, and interest in gw1 will drop. If you are no longer playing the game, then the tonic is meaningless. (Also, even if you are, there is the possibility that once people migrate to gw2, you might not be able to FIND someone to sell you the tonic. No one knows yet how deserted, if at all, this game will become after the gw2 release, so there's no guarantee). Enjoy it while you have it!

Keep the tonic and work at your own pace on the HoM if you want to fill it.
You say it yourself, you adore the kuunavang, so to sell the tonic would be silly.
You can get the last points without selling the Kunna tonic if you so want to, it will just take more time and work.

Keep the Kuunie, you're at 30/50, the remaining points are just titles anyway.

Q&A is not the place for opinions. It's YOUR tonic you should do what YOU think is right. :]
